Riffle and Stamps receive scholarship for Union University EDGE program
May 12, 2022 - Union University EDGE students, Kevin Riffle and Brooke Stamps, were named the 2022 recipients of “The Lee, Chris and Becky Cogdell Honorary Scholarship Fund for Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability Students.” In 2021, Bobby and Shirley Cogdell of Lexington, Tenn., donated $50,000 to create a scholarship fund for students in Union University’s EDGE program. Sasse to address graduates at Union’s May 21 commencement
May 11, 2022 - Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska will deliver the commencement address as part of Union University’s spring graduation ceremonies May 21 on the Great Lawn. A fifth-generation Nebraskan, Sasse graduated from Harvard University and earned his doctorate in American history at Yale University. May 6, 2022 - Union University presented more than 80 awards to students, faculty and staff May 6 at the annual Awards Day chapel service. The Carla D. Sanderson Faculty of the Year Award went to Santhosh Abraham, associate professor of accounting. Luanne Powell, senior program director for the School of Adult and Professional Studies, was awarded with the Gary L. Carter Staff of the Year Award. Wilms receives Fulbright scholar grant to teach in Vietnam
May 5, 2022 - Jan Wilms, university professor and department chair of computer science at Union, received a Fulbright scholar grant to help develop cybersecurity programs at the University of Da Nang in Vietnam during the fall 2022 semester. The Fulbright program is a government program designed to help build educational bridges with other nations through an exchange of academics and professions. Chitwood speaks at annual W.D. Powell Missions Lecture, gives IMB updates

Union debate wins consecutive national championship and season-long championship awards
April 26, 2022 - Union University’s debate team was named season-long champion for the third consecutive year and the national tournament champion of the International Public Debate Association national tournament for the second consecutive year.
